Gratitude

Gratitude is an awesome word that will take you far!  When you are thankful for what you have, for what you can do, and for the possibilities to come, you have the recipe for a great day ahead.  I keepa gratitude journal, and it is life changing!  How?  You might ask.  Being grateful brings things into your life you never would have imagined for yourself!  I keep one today, it is a self-practice that keeps me grounded in the fact that I have many things to be grateful for, and life is good!  You can begin by naming simple things like:  I am grateful for my life, I am grateful for my friends, I am grateful for my family; or you can name specific people and things. Like today, I am thankful forrain!  I like rainy days.  They comfort me for some reason.  Maybe they give me permission to stay in and read, or work on something that has been calling me.  Instead, I would be out in the sunshine doing something else, and putting off something I should have done.  Simply put, creating art, writing, or de-cluttering!  So getting back to gratitude, think of simple things that bring you joy throughout your day and give thanks for them.  When you give gratitude, good things will come to you from unexpected places!
